Around the country, especially in Midwest states, wrestlers are known as athletes “of a different breed.” In places like the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference, there are light shows and hot ice creating steam as wrestlers are announced – it’s like the electrifying entrance for an NBA team.
While wrestling hasn’t created that type of hype yet here in the Rio Grande Valley, it too is picking up steam and has a fair share of stateranked athletes
