Brave new world to young Alamo thin clads
ALAMO – This past summer has shown many young children of Alamo a “Brave New World” in track and field. Alamo Track Club has more than 120 athletes running at the PSJA Memorial ECHS track every day and has boarded buses every Friday to attend summer track meets.
This year’s club members have grown tremendously in the lower divisions as many have joined from Marcia Garza Elementary school south of Alamo. Tiny Tots (ages under 6), pee wees (ages 7-8), bantams (ages 9-10), and midgets (ages 11-12) have come out
to experience first-hand the world of competitive track and field.
