ALAMO – Samuel H. Esquivel, 23, died August 17, 2016, in San Antonio. Born in Weslaco and lived in Alamo most of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Aaron Esquivel; maternal grandfather, Erasmo Guajardo; paternal grandfather, Joe Esquivel. Samuel is survived by his mother, Melissa Esquivel; brother, Aaron Esquivel, Jr., both of Alamo; maternal grandmother, Rafaela Guajardo; paternal grandmother, Ofelia Esquivel, both of Donna; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. celebration of life Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
