RAMON H. TORRES

ALAMO – Ramon H. Torres, 75, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at his residence in Alamo. Born in Orange Grove, TX, Mr. Torres had lived in Alamo all of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irma Berta Torres; a son, Martin Torres; and a greatgrandchild, Angel Torres. Ramon is survived by two sons, Raymundo Torres of Alamo and Rene (Alicia) Torres of McAllen; four daughters, Bertha Mata of Donna, Mary Torres of Alamo, Cristina (Joe) Alaniz of Pharr, Virginia Torres of Alamo; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janie Salinas of Mathis, TX and Manuela Sendejo of Ben Bolt, TX. A rosary was held Thursday, Dec. 22, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
