PHARR – Ramiro Delgado Sanchez, 79, died Wednesday, March 19, at McAllen Medical Center. He had lived in Pharr for 42 years and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church where he was in the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Pharr Lions Club. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Elvira Sanchez; a son Noe (Vaneza) Sanchez, of McAllen; a daughter Nelda (Wade) Konvalin; three grandchildren, Jenna, Ross, and Erin Konvalin, all of Prosper, TX; and a sister, Janie (Ernie) Cunningham, of Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, March 23, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Alice Cemetery in Alice, Texas. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
