KASSANDRA LEEANN GARZA

DONNA – Kassandra LeeAnn Garza, 22, died Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in McAllen, Kassandra had lived in Donna all of her life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Andres and Belia Garza; maternal grandparents, Josefina and Natividad Quintero; and an aunt, Alma B. Yzaguirre. Kassandra is survived by her parents, Jesus and Josefina Garza; two sisters, Samantha Marie Garza, Jessika Alexis Garza, all of Donna; aunts and uncles, Odilia († Roberto) Ruiz Garza, Niceforo (Cristina) De La Garza, Martha Idalia Garza, Diamantina Belcher, Bernardo Garza, Mariela (Gerardo) Prado, Rafael (Yesica) Quintero, Maria Celia (Ricardo) Hernandez, Macario (Veronica) Quintero, Alma (Daniel) Lugo, Beto Yzaguirre; and numerous cousins. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Feb. 19, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbearers were Albert Garza, Rafael Leal, Omar Ruiz, Ricardo Hernandez Jr., Marco Lugo and Julian Quintero. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
