Sylvia Ozuna, 63, died Friday, December 12, 2014, at her residence in Alamo. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, she had lived in Alamo for 35 years and was formerly of Caldwell, Idaho. Ms. Ozuna was employed by P-SJ-A ISD as a payroll clerk. She is preceded in death by a son, Eloy Ureste; her father, Santiago Ureste; and a nephew, Oney Ureste. Sylvia is survived by two sons, Andres (Robbie) Cardoza, of Newbern, Tennessee, Roel Ozuna, of Caldwell, Idaho; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Felica Ureste, of Alamo; and a sister, Maria Luisa Serna, of Pharr. A memorial mass took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
