During all the talk about the caravans heading for and arriving at our border, there has been an amazing lack of interest by the media in who is footing the bills for the trek. There were initial reports that communists booted from power had instigated the project and that they were getting funding from Cuba and Venezuela, but after that initial surmise by the current leadership of Honduras, speculation has died down. The United States press (which has in recent years drastically reduced investigative reporting in the interests of cutting costs) has basically relied on statements by members of the groups.
