When President Donald Trump made his first trip to Texas to view Hurricane Harvey’s devastation and encourage first responders and victims, the liberal media took pains to criticize both the President and his wife. Melania was excoriated for getting on Marine One on the White House grounds wearing high heals. She was obviously out of touch with the American people. There was no retraction, of course, when it turned out she had her tennis shoes already on the helicopter and changed to appropriate dress during the flight. Donald, for his part was criticized for supposedly taking his red hat along but leaving his “empathy” back in Washington.
