PHARR – Agustin Cerda, 83, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Progreso, Coahuila Mexico, he had lived most of his life in Pharr. Mr. Cerda is survived by his wife, Marcela Cerda of Pharr; four children, Rosa Del Carmen (+Jose Luis) Miguel of Mission, Miguel Agustin (Rose Marie) Cerda of Alton, Marcela Patricia (Oscar Luis) Lopez of Louisiana, Juan Everardo (Isabel) Cerda of Pharr; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, April 17, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 9 a.m. Friday, April 18, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
