ALVARO ALVARADO

EDINBURG – Alvaro Alvarado, 55, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Tx. Born in Weslaco, Mr. Alvarado had lived in Edinburg most of his life. Alvaro had a love and passion for playing music and will always be remembered for that. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Julia Alvarado; and a brother, Alfredo Alvarado Jr. Alvaro is survived by his wife, Hilda Ocanas Alvarado of Edinburg; three sons, Alvaro (Pricila) Jr. of Alamo, Abraham, Abel, both of Edinburg; a daughter, Alyssa (John) of Killeen; and six grandchildren, Danny, Ashlee, Alayna, Johnny, Aubrey, Penelope. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, Feb. 24, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
