McALLEN – Diana Jayne Garza, 57, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. Born in Amarillo, TX, Mrs. Garza had lived in McAllen most of her life. Diana was very family oriented and enjoyed celebrating holidays with her family. She loved unconditionally and fought her battle with God on her side. She is survived by her husband, Rodolfo M. Garza, Jr.; three children, Elizabeth A. Walden, Melissa D. Garza, all of McAllen, Lisa M. Garza-Goewey of Texarkana, TX; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; and her parents, Betty A. Duncan and James R. Duncan. Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
