Independent will run for Place 2

SAN JUAN -- After The Advance published the story last week about San Juan’s May 2017 municipal election, which will include three seats – Mayor and City Commissioner Places 2 and 3 – we got word that there will be an independent candidate included in the race: San Juan native and PSJA High grad Ernesto Guajardo. He will run for Place 2. Running against him on the Mario Garza, Rubio Muñiz, Jesse Ramirez slate will be Muñiz.
