VICENTE BORREGO

SAN JUAN — Vicente Borrego, 70, died Tuesday, December 8, 2016, at his residence. Born in Edinburg, Vicente had lived in San Juan most of his life and formerly employed by PSJA ISD. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Borrego; his parents, Francisco and Adela Borrego; seven siblings, Juan Borrego, Amalia Estrada, Consuelo Vera, Pedro Borrego, Alberto Borrego Sr., Guadalupe Borrego and Emilio Borrego. Vicente is survived by seven children, Delma Hernandez, Patricia (Sixto) Chapa, Noel (Margarita) Borrego, Estella Borrego, Sandra (Jesus) Perez, Melissa Borrego and Francisco (Becky) Borrego; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, Francisco Borrego, Jose Borrego, Ernesto Borrego, Angel Borrego, Olivia Amaya, Belia Villarreal, Lupita Garcia and Adela Rodriguez. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, December 12, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, Texas. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
