Political candidates 2016: Who didn’t pay their property taxes?

This year’s local, state, and national elections have come and gone. Note to politicians: State law requires that you take down your political signs within 10 days after the election. Clearly, many of you are in violation of said law. Apparently, few if any cities are enforcing the law. In fact, if we look hard enough, we can still find a few political signs in place from past elections. “Trusted Proven Leadership: Hidalgo County already has a sheriff you can trust – Re-Elect Sheriff Lupe Treviño.” “Elect Sylvia Handy, County Commissioner Precinct 1. A Proven Leader.”
