No cop boycott

PHARR – The Cinemark Pharr Town Center Theater got some bad publicity last week after management allegedly told an off-duty cop carrying a concealed gun that if he wanted to stay and see the movie he had just paid to see, in the company of his family, that he’d have to leave his gun in his car.
According to a police source who would only speak on condition of anonymity, the officer works as a current deputy with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department.
