What happened to San Juan’s numerous illegal stash houses?

SAN JUAN – Three or four years ago, such stories as this were rife:
“Police bust one stash house and find 102 people inside.”
But lately? Nada. At least with regard to stash houses.
So now there’s this new rumor floating around town that the city and/or its police department are in cahoots to pump up good PR for the city:
A) Cops are no longer busting stash houses; or:
B) If they are discovered, police are no longer alerting the media via press releases.
If a reporter stumbles across a stash-house bust by reading through the police reports, so be it. But no longer is the PD going to help out the media uncover stash-house-bust stories. It’s simply bad public relations for San Juan.
