Pharr recognizes student for outstanding leadership skills

PHARR – Hidalgo High School senior Diana Maciel was honored last week at the May 18 Pharr City Commission meeting for her efforts in supporting sustainability and environmental stewardship. Maciel was the final recipient of the Pharr Sustainability Scholarship hosted by the Public Works Department, Environmental Services Division, sponsored by RDA Technologies.
The goals of the Pharr Sustainability Scholarship are to promote academic, personal excellence and growth as well as help to support the City of Pharr with Operation Clean Sweep (OCS).
