Rio Grande Valley Sector Agents make Significant Arrests
EDINBURG, Texas – Border Patrol agents arrested two sex offenders and a gang member after entering the United States illegally.
On Thursday, agents working near Weslaco, Texas, arrested a Mexican national whose record checks revealed an arrest for kidnapping and rape by the Pennsylvania State Police in the city of Avondale. The presiding judge sentenced the man to two years and six months confinement.
On Sunday, McAllen agents working near Penitas, Texas, arrested a Salvadoran national whose recor checks revealed is an 18th Street Gang member.
