Pharr wants court to uphold settlement

Pharr city employee Dahlia (Dolly) Cano Ybarra managed to get one recent thing accomplished: she dumped (dismissed) her attorney of record, Gustavo Acevedo, who had worked on her sexual harassment claim against the City of Pharr and one of its employees, Gary Rodriguez, for more than a year, and replaced him with Katie Klein. Her motion for substitution of counsel was granted and signed Jan. 12, 2018 by state District Court Judge Mario Ramirez (the 332nd).
Ybarra originally filed her lawsuit back in October of 2016, claiming that Rodriguez had sexually harassed her – You’re a good-looking woman, etc., -- and would stare at her in a lascivious manner, all of which Rodriguez later denied.
