Pharr’s State-of-the-City Address draws a crowd in excess of 1,000

PHARR -- The City of Pharr held its inaugural large-scale State-of-the- City Address last Thursday, which filled the Pharr Boggus Ford Events Center with approximately 1,100 people from both the public and private sectors amid all the glitz and glamour one might expect from such an event. As the featured speaker, Pharr Mayor Ambrosio “Amos” Hernandez, MD, laid out what he considered to be the city’s biggest accomplishments since he took over the mayor’s helm in May 2015. He also spoke of the city’s future.
