Pharr’s motion to uphold Ybarra settlement postponed

The story published in The Advance last week about the ongoing saga of Pharr city employee Dahlia (Dolly) Cano Ybarra’s sexual harassment suit against the city and one of its employees, Gary Rodriguez, has once again been extended, which is, more or less, standard practice in most Hidalgo County courts – push the case further down the tracks.
On Dec. 11, 2017, a court order was signed by a mediator (attorney) essentially dismissing Ybarra’s claims against the City of Pharr and Rodriguez after her attorney of record, “Gus” Acevedo, signed off on the agreement with the city’s legal representative (insurance carrier – Texas Municipal League’s legal rep, Attorney Robert Drinkard).
