Turns out that our confidential source was right on the money last month when he told The Advance News Journal that McAllen ISD’s former superintendent, Dr. James Ponce, was headed to Dallas to head up a statewide Charter School op: The Texans Can Academies.
When Ponce suddenly up and resigned last month, giving McAllen only a two-week notice, he gave no public mention of where he was headed.
