PSJA Raiders lose playoff game in overtime
Arturo Beltran knew the day would come when his high school career would be over.
For the PSJA North wide receiver/running back/touchdown maker, losing to San Benito in the Class 6A DI Area Round wasn’t something to look back on negatively. Losing, and ending a career (high school) is never easy, but Beltran looked over the past three years and had a bright perspective.
“We knew that this year was going to be very special, coming off my sophomore year we were 7-0 and the last three games we lost with heartbreaking endings,” Beltran said. “Last year we had a 2-8 season, it was not us. This year we made a goal to focus and regroup as a team. It made us have a bond, that’s why we had a good season, we stuck to the process.”
