Helping Your Friends

The saddest thing about the last seven years of Obama's administration is that the President has consistently made eloquent promises to friends and failed to carry through with them. In dealing with Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, for example, Obama drew a figurative line in the sand to prevent chemical attacks against insurgents rising up against his brutality. Assad crossed that line when he gassed women and children and then attempted to blame the outrage on the insurgents he was gassing. Obama responded by smoothing out the sand with his shoe and betraying the moderates.
