Up until now, I'm told, the only manmade structure visible from space is The Great Wall of China. Hadrian's Wall built by the Romans to protect against the fierce Scots to the north may also be visible, but I've never heard so. England obviously needs a better propaganda machine to talk up its historical sites. The Berlin Wall has probably been seen by more people than any other because it was chopped up and sent in pieces around the world in celebration of liberty. I have a piece in my china cabinet. One day a government inspector will probably demand I remove it because the cement in the wall contains asbestos.
