The Canadian government has approved building an oil pipeline to the west coast to deliver oil to China. The area has the third largest oil reserves in the world and was previously ticketed to deliver crude to our Gulf Coast refineries. Our fearless leader, however, has delayed the oil pipeline to the U.S. for so long that Canada has decided to diversify by seeking other customers. The Chinese, who have invested some $40 billion in Canada of late, have indicated in no uncertain terms that further investment is dependent upon getting some oil flowing in their direction.
