Some clergy don’t believe in pure evil?

Such a sad tragedy: the lethal shootings this past Sunday morning at a small Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, population approximately 400, about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio, which claimed the lives of 26 people and wounded 20. Actually, “sad” doesn’t even begin to describe the pure evil perpetrated that day by a mad man, 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley of New Braunfels. Maybe “horrific” might be a better word to use. “Evil” certainly comes to mind.
Among the dead include the church pastor’s 14-year-old daughter. The pastor and his wife were out of town when Kelley went on his rampage. Other fatalities range in age from 17 months (a baby girl); eight members of one family; the killer’s grandmother-in-law; and the visiting pastor and members of his family.
