Pharr lawsuit worth peanuts

The two sexual harassment lawsuits filed by four City of Pharr employees against the city’s director of community events and media, Gary Rodriguez, which started out at a million-plus dollars approximately a year ago, have been settled, but the final amounts come nowhere near a million. Not even close, according to a confidential source I spoke to this week.
The four employees included two women and two men, all of whom claimed through their attorney, Gustavo Acevedo, that Rodriguez had sexually harassed them either by inappropriate touching or improper dialogue. Due to that, they claimed, they had suffered, well, mental trauma, which included “emotional distress, pain and suffering, both past and future.”
