ROSA SOLIS HERNANDEZ
PHARR – Rosa Solis Hernandez, 75, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gustavo Hernandez; her parents, Napoleon Solis and Virginia Garcia; a son, Juan Hernandez; three sisters, Victoria Solis, Amelia Ibarra, Maria Ramirez; and a brother, Chema Solis.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her three children, Lola Hernandez of Florida, Jose (Jessica) Hernandez of Pharr, Julia (Paul) Alvarez of Weslaco; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hortencia Lopez of Pharr, Esther Castillo of Washington; three brothers, Beto Solis of Pharr, Oscar Solis of Edcouch, and Neto Solis of Donna.
Visitation was held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 12 noon Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
