ROLANDO ISRAEL CASAS
SAN JUAN – Rolando Israel Casas, 16, went home to our Lord Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Rolando was born in McAllen, Texas and lived in San Juan most of his life. He was a student on PSJA High School and a mascot for San Juan fire Department. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Rene Rios Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Julian and Ramona Ramos, Paulino Rios; paternal great-grandfather, Felipe Carrillo Jr.; paternal grandparents, Jose Luis Hernandez and Juan Manuel Casas. Rolando is survived by his parents, Erika (Jimmy Briseño) Rios of Dearborn, MI, Rolando (Jennifer Villegas) Casas of San Juan; four siblings, Evelyn, Carolynn, David, Andrew; maternal grandparents, Anna and Rene Rios of San Juan; paternal grandmother, Maria Carmen Hernandez of San Juan; maternal great-grandmother, Librada Rios; paternal great-grandmother, Rafaela Carrillo; two aunts, Lorena (Paul) Garza of Fort Worth, TX, Abigail Rios of Pharr; an uncle, Juan Casas of Round Rock, TX; and a cousin, Jacob. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, May 12, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
