Sheriff looking for tips on Weslaco shooter

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department is trying to track down a man tied to a drive-by shooting that took place early Saturday morning (Oct. 11) near the intersection of Mile 4 and Mile 13 ½. According to the sheriff’s office, a 27-year-old man was driving north of Weslaco at approximately 3 a.m. Saturday when a man in a grey Ford Mustang sped past and opened fire. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital.
