PHARR–Rogelio “Roy” Ramirez, Sr., 55, died Friday, March 21, at his residence in Pharr. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana and had lived in Pharr all of his life. Roy is preceded in death by his father, Isaac Ramirez, Sr.; and a sister, Belinda Ramirez. He is survived by two children, Roy Ramirez, Jr. and Belinda Ramirez; his mother, Amelia Flores, all of Pharr; five grandchildren, Jorge, Victoria, Isabella, Adriel and Itzel; and seven siblings, Isaac Ramirez, Jr., Yolanda Chavez, Robert Ramirez, Sr., Arturo Ramirez, Sr., Mary Ann Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, Sr. and Rey Ramirez, Sr., all of Pharr. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, March 24, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
