Miguel A. Peña, 58, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Medical Center in McAllen. Miguel was a loving husband, proud father, a good brother, and a best friend. His sense of humor and outlook on life will be missed by all of his family and many friends. With his passing a little sunshine will have gone from our lives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Salomon and Trinidad Pena; and one sister, Ramona Cantu. Mr. Peña is survived by his wife, Anadelia C. Peña; a daughter, Leana Peña; a son, Isaac Peña all of McAllen; six siblings, Ernesto (+Olga) Peña, Oscar Mario (Graciela) Peña both of Oakdale, CA, Bertha (Santos) Martinez of Hollister, CA, Jose Luis (Socorro) Peña of Brownsville, Juan M. (Diana) Peña of McAllen, and Sylvia Peña of Pharr; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, Feb. 13, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at St. Judeâ’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
