MARIA S. CHAVERO

DONNA – Maria S. Chavero, 73, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at her residence in Donna. Born in San Luis Potosi, MX, Mrs. Chavero had lived in Donna since 2012. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Jesus Sandate and Guillermo Sandate; and a sister, Josefina Sandate. Maria is survived by her husband, Benito R. Chavero; four children, Maria S. Chavero, Ana Maria Fitchett, Jorge Alberto Chavero, Claudia Chavero; four grandchildren, Jessica Fitchett, Anthony Fitchett, Monica Chavero, Mia Chavero; a great-grandchild, Sera M. Fitchett; three siblings, Humberto Sandate, Benita Sandate, Gustavo Sandate; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, Nov. 10, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
