MARIA N. GARCIA

ALAMO – Maria N. Garcia, 77, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 4, 2017, at her residence in Alamo. Born in Tamps., Mexico, she had lived in Alamo all of her life. Maria was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lazaro and Ramona Salinas; two brothers, Fidencio and Trinidad Salinas; and a sister, Lydia Trujillo. Maria is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ruben Garcia of Alamo; six children, Norma (Ramon) Gonzalez of San Juan, Ruben Garcia Jr. of Dallas, TX, Armando Garcia of Austin TX, Maricela (Alejandro) De La Rosa, Alfredo (Cynthia) Garcia, Melida Garcia, all of Alamo; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Luis (Eloisa) Salinas of Alamo, and a brother, Juanita Figueroa of Alamo. A rosary was held Friday, May 5, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
