EDINBURG - Maria De La Luz Ibarra, 84, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Barraza. Ms. Ibarra is survived by three sons, Juan (Natalia) Solis of Mexico, Rogelio (Griselda) Solis of Alamo, Pedro Mascorro of Hidalgo; three daughters, Trinidad (Isaias) Gonzalez, San Juanita Ibarra, Maricela (Noe) Lopez, all of Edinburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Santiago Barraza of Mexico. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, May 30, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
