EMILIA G. VILLARREAL

EDINBURG – Emilia G. Villarreal, 91, died May 10, 2017 at her residence in Edinburg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nieves Villarreal; a son, George Villarreal; great-grandson, Michael A. Vidaurri; parents, Jose and Adelfa Gonzalez; three brothers, Antonio, Armando and Ernesto Gonzalez; two sisters, Adelaida Ramirez and Arsenia Gonzalez. Emilia is survived by her four children, Aida (Julian) De La Garza, Hilda Villarreal both of Edinburg, Ana Villarreal of Austin, and Vilma (Steve) Thibodeau of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Crystal, Danny, Isaac and Cris; one great-granddaughter, Katalina; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, May 15, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
