ALBINO OVIEDO
ALAMO- Albino Oviedo, 88, went home to our Lord Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Alamo, he had lived there all of his life. Albino was an honorable and respectful man that dedicated his life to his family with God’s faith in his heart. He taught his children great values that they appreciate today. He took pride in carpentering and build all of his children homes Mr. Oviedo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Oviedo smile and memories will live forever in his family and friends hearts.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Magdalena Oviedo.
Mr. Oviedo is survived by 10 children, Gloria (Jose) of Grand Praise, TX, Andres (Amelia) of Glendale, AZ, Albino (Lydia) Jr., Feliciano (Sonia), Eduardo (Rachel), Lydia (Fernando), Santos (Lidia), all of Alamo, TX, Guillermina (Anthony) of Arlington, TX, Seferino (Graciela), Janette (Robert), both of Alamo, TX, (Oviedo family) ; 25 Grandchildren; 21 Great-grandchildren; Six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josefina Chaves of Colorado.
Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, TX. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo, TX. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Pallbearers were Alejos Torres, Eliazar Isais, Andres Isais, Feliciano Oviedo, Jr., Ernesto Alonso Torres, and Roberto Romero. Honorary pallbearer was Santos Rafael Oviedo.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
