Pharr Housing Authority in chaos for the moment

If only I had six months to write this story, I could probably cover it all in one fell swoop. But it’s now two hours before deadline, so it’s going to have to be spread across two weeks.

Here’s the bottom line: longtime Pharr Housing Authority (PHA) Director Fernando Lopez no longer has a job as of this past Monday afternoon. The question is, why did the Housing Authority Board, comprised of four new members, fre him by a 3-2 vote? The reasons for his termination weren’t addressed Monday.
