REBECCA C. BROOKS

SAN JUAN/EDINBURG - Rebecca C. Brooks, 75, went home to our Lord Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in San Juan, she lived there most of her life. Rebecca became a widow at a young age and worked very hard to give her five children a decent and honorable living. Her strength was her family and faith in the Lord. Mrs. Brooks will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Brooks; and a daughter, Jessica Brooks.
Rebecca is survived by four children, Arlene (Cristobal) Sanchez of Pharr, Yolanda (Adrian) Gutierrez, Edward Brooks, Jr., Rebecca Brooks, all of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, October 26, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
