LEONOR VELA GUAJARDO

PHARR – Leonor Vela Guajardo, 94, died Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in General Trevino, NL, MX, Mrs. Guajardo had lived in Pharr most of her life. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lori Lime. Leonor is survived by her husband, Ruben Guajardo of Pharr; seven children, Ruben G. “Rudy” (Janie) Guajardo of Conroe, Rosalinda Stephens of Austin, Ezequiel “Tito” (Irene) Guajardo of Conroe, Elma Waters of Austin, Elva Laurel of Beeville, Irene Lime of San Antonio, Mark Guajardo of Orlando, FL; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, May 9, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
