TERESA HERNANDEZ VILLA

PHARR – Teresa Hernandez Villa, 92, died Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Harlingen, she had lived in Pharr all of her life and she was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Natalio and Jovita Hernandez; a son, Ramiro Salas; three brothers, Isidro Hernandez, Abelino Hernandez, Isaac Hernandez; four sisters, Asencion Hernandez, Josefa Hernandez, Jesusita Hernandez and Prisca Arambula. Teresa is survived by her son, Isidro (Santiago Gonzalez) Villa of Pharr; a daughter, Irma Salas Hamilton of Alamo; three grandchildren, Jorge David “JD” Salas of Nacogdoches, Ramiro Salas, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Annie Salas of Alamo; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Xavier Garza, Ramiro James Salas and Alex Salas; a sister, Maria Hernandez of Pharr; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
