PHARR – Luciana Dominguez, 91, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Legends Healthcare in McAllen. Born in Michoacan, Mexico, Mrs. Dominguez had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Dominguez; and a daughter, Estela Venegas. Luciana is survived by seven children, Margarita Martinez, Samuel Dominguez, Juan Dominguez Jr., all of Pharr, Antonia Dominguez of Alamo, Rene Dominguez, Dora Ramirez, both of Edinburg, Guadalupe Dominguez of McAllen; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, December 30, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016, at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment followed at Hidalgo City Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
