In last week’s story about the proposed new multi-million-dollar county courthouse (approximately $150 million to construct), The Advance made mention that one of the county’s elected officials had travelled to Las Vegas the previous weekend in the company of several county vendors who are tied to construction of the new courthouse as well as the multi-million-dollar drainage fix needed before its construction may begin. We contacted the elected official, but he wouldn’t go on the record to comment.
