Lessons from the World Series

By Tom Haughey

It's just after midnight. Kansas City came from behind again and scored five runs in the 12th to win the World Series. The catcher was declared the most valuable player and won a trophy and a new Camaro. The new car used to be important to the players, and Perez seemed happy to get it, but now that players are making millionplus figures, it's more of a second trophy than a practical prize. The announcers then wrapped up the broadcast and thanked Alex Rodriguez for joining with them as a color commentator.
