Question: Besides former District Clerk Omar Guerrero, is there another fugitive in Hidalgo County with a million-dollar bounty on his or her head? Doubtful. People usually charged with the sort of crimes that warrant such a huge bail typically don’t have the means to “bond out” of the county lockup.
Another question: is it true that those million dollars now promised the county if Guerrero remains a fugitive are in jeopardy now that the district attorney filed a motion last week to dismiss the civil bond forfeiture?
