Study ranks little Progreso as third most affordable place to live in Texas

PROGRESO -- With a population of only approximately 5,500, according to the 2010 U.S. Census, little Progreso, home to past public corruption writ large, has some good news about which to brag: a recent study conducted by Smart Asset (smartasset.com) has ranked the city third on its Top 10 most affordable places to live in Texas.
Pecos won the top spot, followed by: Kermit, Progreso, West Livingston, Sinton, Crystal City, Monahans, West Odessa, and Post.
