February’s sales-tax-allocation report released last week by the Texas State Comptroller reflects sales tax collected during the month of December 2018, and in terms of growth, the city of Pharr couldn’t ask for better news, said Pharr Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez, M.D.

“We are constantly working toward continued economic prosperity for our city,” said Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez, M.D.

According to the mayor, first elected four years ago, city officials had been eagerly awaiting this report because not only was December an active month for the Hub City’s retail economy due to the holidays, but also because it was the first full month of operations at Topgolf Pharr since the new venue opened in late November.
