Election set for May 4th
Last day to register to vote in the May 4th election is Thursday, April 4, 2019.
Where can I register to vote?
Voter registration applications are available at:
• Hidalgo County Elections Department, 101 S. 10th Ave., Edinburg, TX
• Texas Department of Public Safety Offices (DPS)
• Public Libraries
• Additionally, you may obtain an application by calling the Voter Registration Office at (956) 318-2570
To be eligible to register in Texas, you must:
• be a U.S. citizen
• be a resident of the county
• be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months)
• not a convicted felon (unless a person’s sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
• not declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law Early voting is April 22-30.
